I feel like I just saw a crime movie with some fucked up characters, and not a "comic-book movie."
To say the least, Ledger is a badass, chaotic, psycho freak. Truly memorable AND spot-on in every way.
Aaron Eckhart, as Dent... WAY better than the trailers showed him as an actor. The little CG here is priceless. Shut up, you all knew it would go there! :P
There was more "action" and less CGI through the whole film. Totally a stuntman-style movie... badassular. The fights sound like ouch, but don't dominate the film.
LOTS of twists and turns. Some things lead you one way and turn upsidedown, no pun intended.
Terrific cast. EXCELLENT musical score, and some sweet moments where there is none. Look for the hot chics and the sik cars, too.
GO SEE IT. I need to see it again to appreciate/digest the span of this movie.
I don't think I spoiled anything, so... more opinions welcome after you see it too! Oh, and I had a phat hookup, so that's why I got to see it on a Tuesday night before release... in a theater with like 25 people, with the volume "higher" than average. </yammering>
