it seems like the only people who bitch about Guitar Hero are people who play real guitar and cannot play GH or those who suck at both.
I used to be one of those people that could play guitar but not GH until recent. Since I'm usually confined to my home 4-5 days after a chemo treatment playing GH actually gave me something challenging to do.
If you really think a grown adult believes mastering GH is the same as mastering a real guitar then you're a grade A dumbass. Its a game. Its very fun and challenging and different then all the bland shooter games out there.
BTW playing drums on Rockband in expert mode almost takes a real drummer to accomplish.Comment

I can play guitar pretty decently, but I'm a bassist, have been for 15 years. Guitar Hero is still fun as shit. Especially when you get a bunch of friends over to play on your 50" TV, crank the volume up SUPER fucking loud, and have contests based on your "stage presence" while playing.Comment

Children of Bodom turned me on to death metal/power metal/black metal, w/e genre you would put them in. I have seen them 5 or 6 times live as well, and they are fucking awesome.
If you want to see an amazing concert catch them this fall with Between the Buried and Me and The Black Dahlia Murder.Comment

Yeah I heard they were on tour but I couldn't find the dates, do you have info on the concert? I would fucking love to go.
As for GH, I don't really like it, mainly because I suck. I also can't play real guitar either.
Edit:
Oh and they are technically "melodic death metal" I would say a comparable band would be Ensifurium, not as heavy, but more melodic than most.Rollin' with a GeistkuchenComment

Ticketmaster sends me an email when a show comes through the hammerstein ballroom.
But other than that the tour is posted everywhere. I copied and pasted this from cob's website.
I saw them in April with Megadeth, but this tour will be better and cheaper because bodom is headlining this one. Plus between the buried and me is beyond amazing too.Comment
