Seriosuly, WTF? These guys are insane! The country is run by just the kind of religious extremists that we are supposedly out fighting, yet they are our biggest ally to the tune of over $50B a year in foreign aid (not to mention the untold hundreds of billions in oil we buy). How do we ever expect to win the war on terror and extremism when we support freaks like this?

Ever hear about that girl who was sentenced to death for 'allowing' herself to be gangraped by a bunch of guys? Yeah, that's how Saudi Arabia works. I'm all for 'live and let live' and allowing other countries to find their own way to make things work. But the Saudis are a bunch of fucking nutbags. Where do you think bin Laden came from? Where does he get most of his funding? Who builds and funds thousands of religious madrasa schools across the world that teach extremism and violence? Yup, you guessed it.

Bottom line....Some things just won't change. Its been that way for hundreds of years and it'll continue to stay that way for hundreds more. 'Extremist nutbag-ism' (For lack of a better word) is the norm in those countries. Its soaked into their mind & skin. The men who run that country see absolutely no advantage to providing women more freedom, so they continue to oppress them. Expecting democracy out of that region is a very cloudy dream and no easy task.

Funding for terrorism comes from all over, not just from Saudi Arabia.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying we're perfect. I'm not even saying we're close to perfect. But some things just cross the line from religious doctrine to crazytown. I mean, really? Banning the sale of cats and dogs because you think people will use them to flirt? Obviously the ideals of the Wahabi Muslims in charge of Saudi Arabia are not going to change anytime soon. I'm just pointing out that it's pretty fucked up, and the last thing the US needs to be doing is contributing tens of billions of dollars to an oppressive, medeival country that already makes trilions on oil exports.
