Not every Jason Stratham movie sucks. The Bank Job was really good IMO and I'll drag the lady friend to see this one :)

You are very right. I forgot about that and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking barrels. Those two movies are good, but they do not come to mind when I think of him.

Those are the only movies that i think about when his name is mentioned. They kicked so much ass that i can block out the others. If i were to think about Crank or Transporter 2 i would have to dead myself, so i just pretend that he didn't even do them. Kind of like Vin Diesel with all of his movies except Boiler Room.

come on, for the amount of crap Jason Statham has put out you gotta give him some props for at least being entertaining.

The Bank Job was awesome. Good heist flick, and based on a true story.

does this movie have any relevance to death race 2000?

Somewhat, but not really. It was a race-to-the-death kind of thing, but that's the only similarity. The original was a cross-country race through cities, and points were earned for killing pedestrians. This seems to be more of a Running Man type of thing, in which the competition in that movie was done with inmates, televised for huge ratings, and the winner would win their freedom, Arnold Schwarzenegger played the wrongly-convicted inmate.

Wait, that is a perfect description of Fast and Furious. This movie is probably in the same worthiness as any fast and furious movie.

Maybe it's just me, but these movies are just too mindless for me.

Every now and then you have to go see a movie just for the entertainment value, not some epic plot or touching story.

You didn't like Sacing Private Ryan?? And I thought Knock Around Guys was decent....especially with both Vin and Barry Pepper in a movie again.

EXACTLY. And I watch tons of movies like that. Sometimes I just want to let my brain atrophy for a couple hours.
