Here I am on friday evening setting up a virtual lab with a domain, aduc, sql server in order to test this bitch... (because I've been sick since monday and missed work)...

Anybody here strong in SMS/WSUS/SCCM?

We just switched from LANDesk to SCCM. Haven't used it much yet but I noticed one SCCM installing MS patches on one of my laptops and it seemed to be doing its job nicely.

I've touched everything from Backoffice to the new SCVMM. What you wanna know?

Currently a WSUS/CustomLinuxSystemsMonitor/SCCM/SCVMM/Hyper-V network. Yeah, we use quite a bit of MS tech.

I just deployed sccm in a small virtual server lab and going through setting up boundaries to get the discoveries etc. In your experience what boundary / discovery methods work better? This will be in the 3600+ pc (2000kpro and xp/vista) wan and I gotta figure out the "best" method so it won't be taking forever with its discoveries, we'll be using sccm to deploy apps and use it with already in place wsus. If you got your own guideline document/draft you can share let me know. I've been going by what technet suggests...
