Hey all as some of you know Ill be leaving for deployment here soon, like the end of this week. I'm curious as to who has suggestions for good movies to download before I head out because its going to be a long 8 months on the water. Here's what Ive gotten so far:

damn it looked like alot less in icon view...but any suggestions? this ofcourse does not include the hidden file folder labled PORN lol...

Seasons of the "The Office" are a good bet. Tons of re-playability for catch lines and tags.

I also commend you on your choice to serve/sacrifice. Keep yourself afloat out their with the rest of your seamen. ;)

When I was in they played new movies on the ships tv. Every season of the office, cards for spades and dominos. God Bless and get back soon

Im on the Ramage DDG-61, I cannot really say where im going as for OPSEC, however you can probably imagine. Yea we get new movies all the time however its nice to be able to relax in your bed and watch movies on your laptop however my 17" laptop is hard to comfortably watch lol

TV Shows are great, get a few seasons and you can kill a ton of time. This is what I generally download

Breaking Bad
Californication
CSI (vegas the original)
Curb your Enthusiasm (if you like seinfield you will love this)
Family Guy
Frisky Dingo
Heroes
House
Lost
Nip tuck
The office
The Simpsons
South Park
TopGear
Trailer Park boys (I would highly recommend getting every season of this, funny as all hell)
The Venture Brothers
Weeds

Also these are over or just had one or two seasons but were great.

Rome, fucking amazing show probably my favorite of all time.
Invasion, has the guy from prison break in it (second season) the cop good show
FireFly
DeadWood, good show but it never got an ending


all in all if I had to recommend something to get every season of and whore for a while it would be:

Rome
Trailer Park Boys
Curb your Enthusiasm
Lost (if you never watched it somehow)

Those alone are probably a few hundred hours of TV, and they link together so its like one giant movie.

haha...yes and technically now it is a "missile destroyer"....the only BMD ship on the east coast, I got to be on tv to unvail it in baltimore in january lol....

don't even worry about it man, get a terrabyte hard drive and just bum hard drives from other people and download all there crap.

when i was deployed (on the ground, no seamen for me) i got 450 gigs of movies without even trying! lol

we had a "moral folder" on our networks share drive. one dude in our shop downloaded the entire thing (about 2 terrabytes of movies and music) soon after it was quickly shut down... oh well
