    Sweet DT.

The Elsinore had a fuxxored transmission, but was in great shape otherwise. The guy wouldn't budge off his price, so I told him I'd let him know.

My dads uncle used to race bikes back in the 60's and 70's, mainly bultaco bikes, some pretty funny stories about the absence of brakes!

Don't have any pictures, but the bike I remember is this one:

Nice example. Notice the rear brake pedal and shifter are on the same side? I'd hate to get the wrong one while sliding sideways into a turn at 80 mph.

I used to hang around at a couple of flat tracks when the Bultaco Astro bikes were still competitive.

My first real, honest-ta-gawd motorcycle was a 125cc 1971 Bultaco Lobito. My father bought it from one of his friends for $50. It was beat, but ran like a champ. Had the rear brake and kickstarter on the left, and the shifter on the right. Screwed me up when I finally got a Japanese bike.

          memmmmmmmmories............

          Nice Elsinore!

I've had a few dirt/dualsport/enduro bikes in my time.

First was the ~'73 Kawasaki KE 175 I got when I was like 14, I rode the hell out of that thing, then sold it for 2x what I paid for it!! Then I had a '74 KX 250 that I bought at the local police auction- it evidently had been stolen + recovered, the thief ground the serial numbers off and kinda trashed the bike- I fixed it up back to original, then went to sell it- but the buyer wanted to make sure it was legit- so we took the bike and all the paperwork to the theft dept of the VA DMV so they could inspect it. They ended up finding the original owner and telling me I had to return the bike!! I was pissed, and my Dad called them and told them that they shouldn't have sold it to me in the first place. They ended up paying me full asking price for the bike- and the original owner came to my house and picked it up. He was kind of disappointed I think- he said someone stole the bike off of his patio when it was like 6 months old and in perfect condition. I fixed it up pretty well, but it was NOT like new anymore..

Then I had a Bultaco Sherpa (I think) Trials bike- only had that one for a couple of months.

Didn't have a dirt bike for a long time, then I bought an '84 IT490- that was a badass bike!! I sold it a couple of years ago, I just wasn't riding it much.

          EDIT:
found some pics of a '76 KX250- looks exactly like the one I had (except the rear shocks)

and, the IT490 (mine was cosmetically not so nice, but ran great!!)

Got something else to mess with over the winter. 1974 Honda Elsinore CR125M. I got the engine for it, it needs a new piston. And don't mind the mess behind the bike lol

Here is what it should look like. But i'm going to do the opposite, The silver will be a candy apple green metallic and the green will be silver.

Hmmmm... I dig 1970s trail bikes.

My dream would include a 390 Husky, Honda SL-350, Yamaha DTMX and 250 TY trial bike

Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

Not sure if mine classifies as 'vintage' since that would make my e30 vintage as well.. But here is my 1985 Suzuki DR200 (same year as the e30;))
Only had it a month or two and I'm loving it. I use it to commute and give the e30 a rest.. Super fun to ride and I love the retro headlamp :D

                    Before:
(Cant find before right now but imagine it filthy with pealing faded stickers and a rusty engine.. lol)

                    After:
Painted and wrapped exhaust, general tidy up and polishing. Removed excess mudguards etc..
Getting some SUZUKI stickers made up atm the match the OG style graphics.

Don't know what year this is but another Kawasaki

Not a motocross bike but still pretty rad
Dont know the year, but it's a Rokon Ranger

I have a bunch of other vintage motorcycle pictures, and while they aren't motocross they're still pretty cool, let me know if y'all want to see them.

That's a really nice DT175. Great condition for its age.

I was looking to buy one for the lady but they proved extremely hard to find in any kind of reasonable condition, so we settled on a 1980 TS185ER.
