I'd proudly serve my country. Two of my best friends (who are brothers) are serving. One in the SF in Afghanistan and the other in Iraq. The one who's on his second tour in Iraq is actually home for 18 days and I just got to see him yesterday. He brought me back Dinar, a bayonet for my AK47 and a head scarf thingy that the SF guys are always wearing. I'm so happy to see him and his wife.
I get severe migraines which keep me from serving, HOWEVER if the time came where my country needed me I would lie or whatever it took to protect this country that I love. Those who wouldn't shouldn't migrate to Canada now in order to save face. At least you won't look like draft dodging jackasses when the time comes and believe me it will come. History ALWAYS repeats itself. We think we're so special and civilized this days but I just see us becoming weak........
ok enough of that, back to car stuff.Comment

Just hit 9 years in, volunteered. To bad i wasn't smart enough to get my degree before i enlisted, officers get so much more money. But yeah, i don't think this country should ever have to reinstate a draft, we should have enough people standing up to do their part if it were necessary, this ain't France.Comment

I never knew there were so many killers on r3v - including the ones with intangible medical maladies that preclude them from serving.
At least they have the sack (if not the actual service) to prove their patriotism by WANTING to go to war. Maybe one day there will be a cure for migraines, and the ranks of service members will swell like a fat kid eating ice cream.
For those of you that are actually IN the service - I thank you for your sacrifices. I just wish you didn't have to put your lives on the line for Bush.McCain's military draft: Are you willing to bet your life?Comment

How many McCain "we may need a draft" or "World War Three is imminent" quotes and videos do you want to see?
Last time I checked, McCain was firmly to the right of the political spectrum.McCain's military draft: Are you willing to bet your life?Comment

While reading this thread I thought you must have been just another insane liberal with his head up his as... until I got to this comment-
I'll give you the absolute biggest FUCK YOU I've ever given anyone. You sir, are a complete jackass.
Referring to those serving out country as "killers".
Seriously, fuck you. That's coming from everyone in my family.
You don't have to support the war.... but atleast have some respect for those who serve. ESPECIALLY when you haven't.Last edited by SpasticDwarf; 08-30-2008, 06:35 AM.Comment

I would probably Be one of the first to go... But I would'nt mind being molded into a soldier
that blows shit up. But if the draft is started again, there will be a revolution. And it ain't going to be pretty.Comment

She must be so proud you turned out to be an ignorant asshat who sells auto glass and has no respect for the nation, the people who serve it in one way or another, or economics.
I think your inappropriately arrogant and smug face would be a target if you said this shit in a bar around the men who are serving.Comment

You see the part yet where he called people in the Air Force assholes?Comment

I dont think he was singling out the air force. I'm sure he views all those in military service as baby-killers or jackbooted thugs. He probably laments the fact that so many underprivileged young men join the military to escape their poor existences only to find themselves as pawns for the evil Bush administration. On the weekends he likes to wrap a bandana around his face and go protest somewhere. He's probably a vegetarian, and a PETA member.
I assure you that his thanks to service members are just lip service.
lair, you live in the SF bay area dont you? Seattle maybe?
(My apologies to those Bay Area or Seattle residents, and/or those vegetarians here who aren't liberal asshole fucks. PETA members can still kiss my ass)Comment
