    VTEC mini around the 'ring

Pretty awesome video... he doesn't get passed once and the back end slips out a few times (namely around "Klostertal" just before the hill going up to the karusel.) and they're front wheel drive for those who don't know so yeah...

Most of the big corners are named, which I thought was pretty sweet. God I love that track...

Yeah, Mini's are quick. Small light car with about 170hp. The only thing wrong with it is that it is a FWD. They are nimble and very capable right out of the box. I've ridden in one on the track and in the right hands, they will smoke a lot of cars.

Excuse my ignorance, but why would you put a 160hp VTEC Honda engine in the car when it already has options to put out more than that with the S model? Is the VTEC that much lighter?

It's a popular swap in the old school Minis, not the BMW owned MINIs. Big difference.
This thread is about an Austin Mini.

That's like asking why someone doesn't just put an N54 in a 2002 instead of swapping in an S14. The old Austin Mini doesn't share anything at all with the new Mini, so at that point it's just stuffing in whatever you can get to fit. That's where Danny's answer comes into play.

                Um. What?

You're thinking about the new mini's that aren't very mini anymore. That's an old mini, a real one. With a VTEC in it.

I'd say that car weighs somewhere around 1800lbs or less. And the front has to be stretch about 4" to fit that series of motor.
                  Very quick car.

hey they did a good job building that track to make it look just like the one on that Forza game.

He was just giving that little bastard all kinds of hell. And cars and bikes sharing the same track would be terrifying i would think. At 5:52 I swallowed hard

I'd rather have Sarah Palin 1 hearbeat away from the Presidency than Nancy Pelosi 2 heartbeats away.
