    Seriously, 300 dollars a month?

Shit, I was making 300/wk doing dumbass part time retail jobs in high school.

Why did you buy a brand new car if you're a barely employed student?

Swing wild, brake later, don't apologize.

Haha yeah thats actually a not a half bad ideal. My apartment is just too small though, plus I don't want it trashed.

Ever think of becoming a painter or a janitor? It's good money and there is ALWAYS somewhere to work.

Also, try Labor Ready or some other temporary "day-labor" type of company. They'll take ANYBODY. Work today, get paid today, come back tomorrow if you feel like it. You'll be able to scrape up $300 in less than 2 weeks.

equate.. i read your other post about trade schools and how you had talked to mechanics and how they had tried to ward you off from entering this profession. well here is my attempt at the same.

they told you that the money isn't there like it used to be. it is worse now! dealers are where you are going to make the most $$ and they are crapping out! they are reconfiguring the labor hours and warranty is paying crap now! you are not going to make enough $$ to offset the tool investment that you are going to need to make money, that is a fact!

i am coming out of the automotive field and returning to school. yea, real school, like i was right out of high school, where i fucked off my own money and really went no where. i was 18, and stopped going at 21. i was supporting myself by working on cars, and just fell into doing it for a living. no formal training to start with, and gained knowledge along with certs along the way.

i am returning to school (at 36) to be a pharmacist. something with a future and GREAT money ($90-$100K right out of school!!) there will always be a demand for health related jobs.

if you want to won your own shop take some business classes (aka real school) you will need them! it is rough out there right now even for independent shops, some are faring better, but lots have shut their doors.

HEETER may like to fuck with you, but most of what he is saying is true, although put forth in a dickish way.

I work at home. I make $2 a page to type transcriptions for Child Protective Services. That ranges anywhere from $15-$50 an hour depending on the child and the quality of the audio. I pick how much I work in a week, and I can do it whenever I want to. It is the perfect job to get me through college.

But my best friend's parents own the company that is contracted by CPS. You would be hard pressed to find a job like that otherwise.
