There are exceptions to every rule, those that serve also cant drink! Is that fair? 30 year old people bagging groceries should not vote, they missed out on life if that is their life ambition.

That is reality. No one will vote because some people base their arguments on emotion and draw from some primal superiority that scares the weaker of this country.

Vote for who you want. I vote we add a new constant to death and taxes. The next should be that no fucking president of this country ever does shit that they say they will. Another could be that self is above all else.

Look at your neighbor when you make your voting choice. Forget what you think will help you the most. Look at what might help someone else.

Fuck this election just like the last one and all the ones before that. Abe Lincoln was the last President of the US and all the rest have been showmen.

Yeah, nothing but badmen. I'd like to see more than a two-party system. Everyone, candidates included, get pissed when any mention of a non dem/rep party is brought up. Yeah they throw off votes, but that's the whole point, right? I think if I tried to wait and vote on independent parties in an election where it wasn't so close and it wasn't "lesser of 2 evils" then it would never happen. Not sure what I'm going to vote. I know what I'd like, but I probably wont.

In all likelihood, McCain would die, or become incapacitated before the end of his term. He is scary enough with his statement that the Supreme Court decision allowing the detainees at Guantanamo the right of Habeas Corpus was (one of) the worst Supreme Court decisions in American history. Nevermind Dred Scott! Nevermind Plessy v. Ferguson! Yeah, John. We don't need to allow people we've held for years to know what the charges against them are! You said "Sen. Graham and Sen. Lieberman and I had worked very hard to make sure that we didn't torture any prisoners, that we didn't mistreat them, that we abided by the Geneva Conventions, which applies to all prisoners." John, you said "we didn't torture any prisoners".

But now, a total reversal! Now we have this: "McCain-- who has waged a public fight against American torture-- has now formally pledged to support it. Last week he voted against a bill that would curtail CIA tortures like waterboarding, hypothermia, and standing for 40 hours. The bill forces CIA interrogators to follow the US Army interrogation field manual, which specifically bans:

• Forcing the detainee to be naked, perform sexual acts, or pose in a sexual manner.
• Applying beatings, electric shock, burns, or other forms of physical pain.
• “Waterboarding.”
• Using military working dogs.
• Inducing hypothermia or heat injury.
• Conducting mock executions.
• Depriving the detainee of necessary food, water, or medical care.

According to McCain, these "additional techniques" are not torture and should not be banned. In his view: “None of those techniques would entail violating the Detainee Treatment Act, which said that cruel, inhumane and degrading treatment are prohibited.”

Hmmm. If I were to "apply beatings, electric shock, burns, or other forms of physical pain" to my dog, would you not say I had tortured it?


And Palin? The thought of (yet) another religious whack job who thinks America can pray/shoot/kill/bomb its way out of the hole it's in is terrifying. This is a woman who would, if possible, overturn Roe v. Wade and compel women by law to carry children they are unable or unprepared to care for to term, even if they are carrying the child of the man who raped them!

Regardless of the moral arguments, this country is not prepared to care for the thousands of unwanted children who would be, through no fault of their own, the inevitable result of such a flawed policy. But hey, she's got Putin's number. After all, she has seen Russia.

****Not saying Obama/Biden are without problems, but generally, if someone wants to turn me away from supporting them, aligning themselves with Dobson and Robertson will do it.
