I separated my shoulder a bit under 2 years ago. I just learned to shift with my left hand until it quit hurting enough to shift. Not the safest thing in the world, but it is not nearly as bad as talking on a cell phone.Comment

I got hit by a drunk driver in my 2002 and broke my scaphoid. I had a cast from my knuckles to my armpit on my right arm. I still drive stick just fine - only with my left hand. Shitty. I had surgery a few years back that left me in a hard cast. I brake the wrist section of the cast my first drive. I feel for ya.
