    Arnald Palmer and Rum...

... rocks! Wow it tastes so good. I'm sure I'm not the first person to try this, but I mixed them last night on a whim and it made for a damn good drink.

3-4oz rum, maybe 6-8 oz Arnald
    serve cold

    Cheap too!
    24oz can Alnald Palmer 1/2 iced tea 1/2 lemonade ... $0.99
750 mL Bacardi Gold Rum ... $11 (mostly tax in NC)

I thought I was an old guy at heart with my love for the superior quenching ability of iced tea and lemonade.

I love Arnies. It's what I get anytime I dont drink a "drunky" drink.

I love buying the premade ones with good ol' Arnies mug on the front of the carton. For some reason I cant walk past that old man without buying him. Thats some good marketing I tell ya. It seems like itd be good with Goose, Ive never tried it with Rum, though.

There are five alcoholic variations. The first, known as the "Tom arnold", consists of the original iced-tea/lemonade mixture, with vodka added. Another variation, the "John Daly", contains 1¼ oz citrus vodka, ¼ oz triple sec, topped off with ½ lemonade and ½ iced tea. The third variation is referred to as the "Dirty Palmer." This drink consists of 2/3 Arnold Palmer and 1/3 Sailor Jerry Rum. The "Hard Arnold" or "Stiff Palmer" is equal parts of Mike's Hard Lemonade and Twisted Tea (most common in the US Midwest). Finally, adding a shot of Amaretto, such as Disaronno, is called an "Arnold Palmer Senior."

I'm not overly versed in the drink world, but I know where the "Hairy Palmer" joke should be......just behind the Rosie Palmer.

Now I just need one of you mix masters to equate the 'Hair' to some ingredient - I know there's got to be one, I heard of Fuzzy Navels, so it's gotta be there somewhere.

Farbin? C'mon-you must be the guy with the answer.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Maybe it's an AM hangover cure, and someone would order a huge breakfast, and a "Hairy Palmer", a two drink combo of a Hair of the Dog in one glass, and an arnold palmer to drink with the food.

                    Otherwise, I don't know.

Then give Sailor Jerry a try, way better than that Captain Morgan shit.
