This goes for both of you. Love your significant other for who they are not what they look like. If you like your hair long, grow it out. If she likes tattoos, let her get tattoos. If you let shit like that bug you then the little stuff that happens later that is more important will rip you guys apart. My girlfriend and I are in the similar situation right now except that I'm the one who wants another tattoo. She has accepted the fact that I like tattoos and its a way to express myself to people that don't have the balls to learn for themselves who I am. My girlfriend doesn't like them but she realizes that even if I got a full body tat, that underneath its still me and she is with me for that reason and that reason only.

And for the record, a full body tat will NOT be happening. Lol.

But yeah man, just do what makes you happy and if she can't accept that then maybe its not meant to be. And the same goes for her, if she can't accept the fact that you like looking a certain way then she needs to re evaluate her love for you.

For the record, my fiance says that IS a small tattoo...she's getting ready to do a huge cherry blossom tattoo from her shoulders to just above her butt, and I think they're hot, usually...that nascar one is obviously a train wreck. Tastefully done ones (doesn't always mean small) are cool.

If you love her, go with the flow. It's just a tattoo on her foot. Not like it's on her boob. I do feel like she should have talked to you about it though...

Oh I know I understand what you mean. But what I'm saying is that when it all boils down, its about how much you love the person. Yeah they may get mad but honestly that's not something that should make or break a relationship.

It also comes down to the fact that if you started dating this person that has tattoos to begin with then you were accepting that lifestyle when you decided to be an item with that person. Now for there to be a sudden lifestyle change i.e. First tattoo, and they knew you didn't like them to begin with but still got it, that's a different situation. Your partner's tastes in clothing or style should mean something but if that is who you are, you shouldn't change it no matter what. If the other person wants you to change then they don't love you for who you are, they love you for who you could be.
