Israel asked US for green light to bomb nuclear sites in Iran, Bush rejected.

    and the main reasons are???

Bush's decision to refuse to offer any support for a strike on Iran appeared to be based on two factors, the sources said. One was US concern over Iran's likely retaliation, which would probably include a wave of attacks on US military and other personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as on shipping in the Persian Gulf.

US president told Israeli prime minister he would not back attack on Iran, senior European diplomatic sources tell Guardian

I've always wondered that myself but there are, of course, diplomatic factors involved. I imagine just publishing the fact that shit is on the table and constantly being considered is a function...

lol, I was happy to see that as well... BUT then again, how can you fight on 3 fronts. I can recall at least one power that failed due to over-extending.

            no, it's not 3 fronts

with Iran, it make it 1 complete front once again.

honestly, I bet there's a lot of decisions that have been made like this that haven't made it to public view. While I don't fully support President Bush and the decisions he's made, I bet we would all be surprised at the number of decisions he's made that we would absolutely agree with that don't get published either because it's a national security issue or the media won't pick up good news.

are you kidding me! I always think about that shit. Then again, I'll get into some conspiracy shit if I start talking about the things we have no clue about...

                        well, that's his job

Look at Clinton and Bush entering office versus the way they look leaving office. They both aged by a lot more than 8 years. Lots of hard decisions had to be made.

Let Alex Jones figure all that crap out that most of us should know nothing about. Plus it's more entertaining that way.

I am not saying I don't want to know everything, but I would also like to sleep at night without annoying 3 AM calls.

Not a good idea at all to f with the Iranians. They are one of the only if not the only country to have never been under the rule of another. If something like that happens its game over as we know it. Anything goes.

Iran would be a tougher enemy then Iraq but there is still no doubt that we would wipe them off the map. Is anybody honestly scared of Iran?

Ah, the art of deception. Fun stuff!

What do you do when the battlefield is being broadcast 24/7 by CNN? You use those broadcasts to your tactical advantage.

As you're giving a press conference showing your plans to invade from the sea, complete with clips of Marines practicing their landings, you let it slip that ground troops just might storm in from the flank. Oops! Shouldn't have said that. Oh well, our enemy can't have possibly heard that. Meanwhile, send a few patrols out to that flank dragging chains behind their humvees to kick up lots of dust and make it look good.

Then, when the enemy has mustered in response to your 'foolish' blunder on tv, you bomb the hell out of him and thank Ted Turner for the assistance.

Trust me, this is sabre rattling for the 21st century. And don't think any of the soundbites you've heard from Ahmanutjob or Chavez aren't the exact same thing.
