i understand the environmental issues, but aren't there bigger problems affecting our rivers and streams? arent all the car washing chemicals pretty diluted by the time they make it there anyway?

well, anyway, i hope this doesnt make its way to portland.

      Sigh.

After I drill through metal, I usually collect all the shavings and put them in baby formula.

When they tell me to stop, I claim that it's infringement on my right to live a normal life.

Why don't they just do something about the cleaning products instead?

Not stopping me. my house is down the hill and hard to see :-) I expect my detailing business to get some more wash/wax quick jobs from this.

Why don't they just leave us the f*ck alone. Who are "they" to decide how I use my water? or for that matter what light bulbs to use? They want to force everyone to switch to florescent bulbs only. For one I hate those lights; they're slow to light up fully, ugly and they also cause migraines in those who are susceptible to them (which I am). Supposedly you can still wash your car if its on your lawn, which I do anyways. I hate this. I don't need the government to protect me from myself and tell me what is right and wrong. Doesn't anyone learn from history? Listen to things the President of the Czech Republic has said. He also just came out with a good book. They can see what is happening to our country. Some people may think, "big deal, its just a light bulb/car wash/ or ??" but if you keep letting your rights get taken, it will be too late before you know it.

Well, posterity, you will never know what it cost us to preserve your freedom. I only hope that you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.

QFT. I have friends from Bendigo who lived there when they ran out of water 2 summers ago and were at stage fucking 10.

Are you sure about that one? I can't find any source that says that is correct.

I guess I could wash my car on the lawn then.
Not that I care, of course.
