Top Gear Oss-Trahl-Eeya: Fail

Just finished watching the first episode on YouTube. It's not as bad as our US version will inevitably be, but it seems like they're trying way too hard to be like Top Gear UK. The presenters have even been modeled off of Top Gear UK's. The long-haired guy is supposed to be Clarkson, mustache is supposed to be James May, and the little yappy 13-year-old fellow is Hammond. Personally, I would have prefered a more unique Top Gear, not one trying to emulate the genuine article.

The high point of their first episode was the amazing-sounding 997 with PDK and direct-injection. But, still, I predict one or two seasons and then... fail.

ya i got it through final gear. ya the presenters are pretty bad, but the old guy is actually pretty good. i fully agree they are trying way too hard to be like the uk show.

i figure they will keep the setup this way for season 1 then hopefully season 2 will become more Australian and hence better. that mustache guy has to go though he is worthless.

I'm just thankful that for this one and the US version they didn't throw some bimbo in there to read off a tele-prompter. That gets annoying quick.

yeah, its pretty ghey.. towards the end the presenters were more tolerable..

That's lame, but it just seems like it'd be hard to top the original.
