E30 featured in SCC's Ultimate Street Car Challenge

In the November issue of Sport Compact Car Magazine there's a brief article on Groma Fab's V12 E30. This is Groma's second entry into the Ultimate Street Car Challenge. Last year they competed in a very hot M20 stroker 2002, seen here: http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/fe...002/index.html

To keep this thread OT, I was wondering what magazines you guys all read? My list is as follows:
    1. Grassroots Motorsports
    2. Sport Compact Car
    3. Road & Track
    4. Stuff/Maxim
    5. Classic Motorsports (when I can find it)

    I thought it was a S/C'd M62?

Oh, you're right. The V12 was the original plan back in '07.

Yeah, Ireland helped build that car IIRC. They also had their 2002 there for the SCC Ultimate Street Car Challenge last year (or '07 I think).

        Great car.

There are a few car magazines that I read like Sport Compact Car, Grassroots Motorsports, 0-60, Race-Car Engineering, and Top Gear. Those last two cost about $100 a year, but they're good.

Other magazines I normally read are Wired, Paste, GQ, and a few others.

In the article they say that the car made 300whp @4800ish rpm. So, it might be pushing what 375-400whp or so total? Given the competition, that really isn't that much. I think that there are some nasty ass e30's running around that would do a better job in that context than that car.

I could be full of shit too though.

I'm still pulling for them. The more exposure the e30 gets in the eye of mainstream enthusiasts, the better it is for us and our aftermarket parts availability, resale values etc. etc.

Oh, and the magazines....SCC, GRM, Performance BMW, The Rodder's Journal, and whatever strikes my fancy at the newsstand.

I have to say though, since this whole r3v addiction started, it has really cut down on my newsstand purchases.
