I have to say, a punch in the gut when you're fully expecting it, isn't as hard to take as most people think, it's in fights(if you don't know what you're doing) or when you don't expect it that they suck.
That said, taking a punch from Kimbo is still rather impressive...I'd probably die, lol.
Kimbo was in a "Money Talks" episode and a couple random people took hits in the stomach AND full on tackles from the guy and they all were fine..Granted they were on the floor but they were fine. Like CF said, an expected punch to the gut is easily taken. Now if he would roll up on you and just wail on you, thats an entirely different thing.
Looking for a 3.46 or lower LSD. Lets make a deal. LSx e36TI coming soon

Exactly, IIRC that's what killed Houdini. An unexpected blow, not something that he had time to stand there and prepare for.
Still a pretty amazing feat though if you ask me, he stayed on his feet which is crazy enough...
***Also, one day this summer I was down at the Baltimore Aquarium with the GF, and when we came out there was a HUGE crowd gathered around something. So, we walked over to see what the commotion was about and there stood David Blaine doing card tricks for a new show/movie he was doing. It was pretty sweet getting to see him do some of his shit in person, even though the dude just gave me some hella-creepy as vibes...
Given what I've seen on some YouTube vids of Kimbo, I'd say being able to take a couple gabs in the gut from this guy and not drop to your knees in agony is no easy task - especially if you haven't been extensively training for such a thing.
God knows Kimbo would probably drop most of us with one solid hit.

I completely agree that it is impressive, but I still don't care for it.
Its like those Swedish girls who were running around on the highway and got hit several times by moving traffic, not many of us could do that and live... but what the hell is the point?
