Well his house is a million dollar house located on SW112th next to Miami Dade Kendall campus. His kids went to one of the most expensive private schools (Gulliver) in Miami Dade and one of his ex-girl friends lives in Tower A of my condo building. For being flat broke he still has money. Florida law, allows him to live there and protects his pentions. He frequents the local strip clubs often.

The only people I feel sorry for is his kids! Growing up knowing that their dad killed their mother!

I can remember watching some shows though about people on Death Row and they only got a certain amount? Maybe Death Row is different?

Depends on where your case started, if it a local ( county/city ) matter you will then go to a local superior court, next up is State, and then you fall into Fed territory, start with your circuit and the Supreme Court is last. Money is can be a problem, but time is what really get's you. They don't have to set you free while you appeal, and it could be years in between each case plus they can just deny you appeal at any point and that's it.

There are local Fed courts ( for federal crimes ) also, then the line would be shorter, circuit, then supreme.
