                      I've actually seen people do the submersed mineral oil thing but then also do some extreme cooling using a small A/C window unit to cool the mineral oil.

                        I recall talking about building a mineral oil tower in a Styrofoam ice chest back in 11th grade, somewhere around 1998. The amount of additional cooling benefits when overclocking then were enormous, nowadays, tenfold I'd assume.


                        At the end when the airstone came on, I lol'ed.

                            Ya, that was pretty damn cool.

                            They use oil to cool power transformers. The windings only have paper separating them, but the oil is absorbed down into the sheets, insulating them.
