    Online Trading / Stocks?

Anyone recommend a good online trading broker? I was looking at https://www.thinkorswim.com/tos/suit.../landing-s.tos or http://www.tdameritrade.com/

Since the markets are down and prices are ripe; anyone think it is not a good idea to invest?

*Yes I know, asking market questions on a car forum is always a good idea...

    Scotttrade.

But you're just better off giving someone else your money and and getting in fractions of a stock in a fund than paying commission out the ass (in and out) for some shares of one stock at a time... not very diversified. Just assume the market is more efficient than what you can find if you are not spending 100 hours a week doing research.

I'm just upping the % contribution to my Roth 401k and gonna enjoy it 40 years down the road.

I'm pretty sure Zecco trade has free trades but they're delayed a bit.

          Scottrade

Get a margin account so you can wake up to margin calls every morning for a week straight like I did last week.

Any financials. Buy Citi after they announce earnings this week. Call me nuts, but I bought a ton of AIG. After they get all their loans paid, and start turning a profit again, they surely wont be a $2 stock like they are now. It may take awhile, but its a I think its a tremendous long position.

I think alot of the capitulation is out of the way, and the big players will start moving in to do some bargain hunting this week.
