Blah blah blah, they're still just a bunch of tall tales (and some short ones).

Religion is an outdated and antiquated system, which in my opinion was great in times before we had science and reason. Now though, science and technology are the only way to further progress mankind and the human civilization as a whole.

Everything we have today, we can thank technology and science for. Every modern convenience, medicine, etc. We now know that tsunamis are caused by earthquakes, and not by an angry, invisible man up in the sky.

People need to wake up and realize that organized religion is for the weak minded, and is, and always will be total Bullshit.

this is coming from someone who has been to church maybe twice in his life. hahaha
yeah but the nice thing about just so stories is the grasshopper doesn't burn for an eternity in the end or have the sons of Israel descend upon him like locusts just because he has a good time hopping around
Not that I care, of course.

Everything in life is simply a tale from someone's standpoint. Does not make them any less profound.

They're profound for their time. But their time has passed.

Religion is out of date. It's time to unite the world, and tear down these pointless religious barriers. All they've ever created was war and separation. Nothing good with the exception of "faith" for some will ever come from the belief in any god or spiritual being.

So what if that God spoken of is the giant ball of assumed molten metal in the center of the earth making those earthquakes happen. I don't mean to sound off, but if your open to options, you have to be open to every option, not closed minded to only what you think is fact.

Science is not the next evolutionary step in religion.

No I refuse to believe that because it is not practical. The center of the earth is molten and the conditions for life to exist there are impossible. I have paid attention to basic science to understand why that is not a possibility. I do not have to stay open to every option. I will only stay open to viable options. To think otherwise is blind ignorance.

You are once again failing to differentiate between theory and story. A theory can be tested and disproved. A story can't do anything except make someone believe something that isn't true.

Religion was a tool to explain the unexplainable, and to exert power over people. Now it is unable to explain anything, and simply separates people who have blind faith in some stories.

Again, you're being ignorant and making assumptions. You're absolutely wrong about a "religion of man". I said NO RELIGION. The only beliefs we have should be based on what we DO KNOW. Not what we can fathom or guess on.

We should all believe in what has been proven and what is now fact. We should not let ANY tax exempt organization take advantage of us by preying on our doubts. That is just wrong.

If we don't know what's at the center of the earth then fine, believe in the fact that you do not know what is there.

Same goes for god. Believe in the fact that there is no proof that he exists. Believe in the fact that there are infinite possibilities out there and not a single one of them deserves any more attention than the next due to the lack of substantial proof.

Believe in nothing other than the fact that you don't know shit until science proves otherwise. Because that is where proof comes from.

Just because something is a profound experience for one person, it does not discredit their experience if the guy standing next to them thought it was a blathering event.
