Anyone else get a call from this number?

I wasn't able to answer and when I called back it was a creepy voice with a weird accent (british?) telling me its a travel related call and to press one to be removed. I hung up

I looked on google and found its a Oklahoma and there are quite a few people out there getting spammed by it. The claim is it calls numbers that no one has and aren't even registered, then is speaks really fast in Spanish or Italian...

I just thought it was strange and would be cool if we could get to the bottom of it. All the recorded complaints I found were just one time posts of, "ThiS D00D Cald Mi Anoyinh OMG bi"

    very little to go on.

On a similar note, has anyone else had luck with that "Do-Not-Call" registry? I have seen no decline in the number of telemarketer/political phone calls since adding my number to the list.

      Its worked for me.

I worked at AT&T and "do-not-call" registry is bull shit.

AT&T openly sells numbers out, but only people who don't pay for "privacy direct" feature that block telemarketers.

Phone companies have their way with the system, and "do-not-call" registry has loopholes, like fund-raisers and charities. Either have to live with it, or disconnect phone.

I use this site religiously. So good for screening 800 #'s and sales calls.

                Check it out.

This called my cell phone. Its calling random people all over the country. One guy said at the end he was able to translate "For a gift press 2" then a lot of laughing, from spanish. But others get Italian. no one has recorded it yet and i guess it talks so fast no one makes out the words in time.

Interesting, that is a Tulsa phone number, well northeast OK number anyway.

Whats the big deal about picking up numbers you don't recognize? I have gotten plenty of calls from friends calling from numbers I don't recognize.

It started out because it was usually people from work that wanted to guilt trip me into taking their saturday shift, then I just kinda went with it, if it's important enough they'll leave a message and I'll call back.

Yea I never pick up either because it used to be work or people wanting to go hang out somewhere dumb. Now I never do cause my friends know to leave a message or text me. But lately I've been getting a million calls from my credit card, told those bastards I will pay them when I get some money, its not even 2 months behind either.
