How long did it take to build? He probably started building it when that body style was newer.
Guy hand built lambo in his basement..

I've never seen exhaust manifold mixed like that before. Two from one bank with two from the other. Is this common on mid/rear engined cars?turk@gutenparts.com

maybe he could have worked and saved up for 10 yrs and bought a real lambo..
lol but seriously that is very badass. Its a shame he had to tear down that garage. Pretty fail from a planning stand point, I guess he couldnt even pave a little driveway to get the car out... looked like it would have been real steep.
I wonder if this was a one time thing, or if he will continue to build sick exotic cars in his basement!Comment

Probably the same as a typcial kit car but with way better components. I would have probably made the my own shell though if i had his skills. Go to a vehicle design school and take some measurements from one of their full size clay models and had a completely one off prototype. I'm sure a college of designs would love to help someone make a full scale model for them to display.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

that's damn impressive. ...if only i had a basement and a decade-17 years to just make something...
i doubt i'd make a knock-off of something else. what'd you guys make? id shoot for something original looking, all things considering it would truely be, so it'd be fitting no?Comment

I'd have a hard time choosing between a McLaren F1, an M1, or a Pantera but the Countach was an excellent choice IMO.

why is the countach such a popular kit car? why not other similar exotics instead?Comment

I live in a city where i see supercars ( literally see enzos and carrera gts, gallardos, slrs) everyday and there are only two cars i've never seen actually driving down the street. The countach and the mclaren f1. I've never even seen an F1 in person, only the M1.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.
