There's some great gear on here!!!
I love guitars, and have been obsessed with them for a looong time.
I love Strats.
In order, is a MIJ '72 reissue, a MIJ '57 reissue, a black '73, '69/'85 hybrid, '09 Eric Johnson signature, Sunburst '72, '02 Robert Cray signature, and current Ritchie Blackmore edition.

I switch back and forth between a Jubilee Marshall, and a '74 Pro Reverb for dirty/clean.

thanks Dave. pics like this don't really do the G&L guys justice. something that really surprised me about this guitar when it showed up was the neck shape- it's kind of baseball bat fat. I love it.Leave a comment:

And they still make great Les Pauls. Fujigen made the Epiphone "Elite" Les Paul in recent years; a fantastic Les Paul but cost a fair bit more than the entry level USA Gibsons. Failed in the US market, of course. I guess someone at Gibson thought so highly of the Fujigen factory's Les Pauls, made for Gibson to sell in the Japan market, that they'd have a go with them in the US. The high price would have been enough to kill it in the US, but saddling it with the Epiphone brand made sure it would fail.
The Koreans have, for the most part, picked up OEM business the Japanese dominated in the '80s. Cort has shut down its Korea electric factory, with the bulk of their production now in their Indonesian factory. The quality/value is excellent, though.Leave a comment:

in the 70's, Japanese companies began making such good (and cheap) copies of les pauls that Gibson finally sued them and bought epiphone to build a "licensed", legit japanese copy les paul.
Stuff like Cort, Electra, Univox, Aria, etc.Leave a comment:

I been playing a lot lately and getting my fingers back to where they used to be. Teaching myself Early 70's stones, more Maiden, blah blah blah.Leave a comment:

bump!
In the last few months, I've refreshed, put electronics in, and sold a lawsuit Les Paul, a telecaster, got rid of my frankenstrat (accidentally gave it to my friend's little sister when drunk), built another telecaster, and got into basses.
Anyone want to buy a sunburst p-bass?Leave a comment:

SG neck is back on, TonePros bridge installed. It plays really nicely! It is a whole lot more bitey & snarling than what I remember them sounding like. I'll try to post pics.Leave a comment:
