What's your opinion on it? I'm thinking about turning my dogs diet to this BARF(http://www.barfworld.com) diet I'm reading about. But I would like to see what you guys think about it. Please no stupid posts.

Feeding Raw meat to your dogs?

Its good for the dogs... but it'll be expensive. There are some quality foods out there with no corn or fillers that are also great for the dogs. I believe good dog food is grade C meat... Taco bell is grade D (IIRC). So they eat better than most on here as it is lol. I personally wouldnt waste the cash, and would just buy good quality dog food. Feed some meat snacks maybe... JMO.Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head off

Also, you have to find a way to balance a dogs diet. Theyre like humans, all of their diet can not be protein. It has to be some carbs, this amount of fat, that amount of Amino Acids, etc etc etc. If you dont do it properly, it could end up being a detriment to your dogs' health. Again, Id stick with good food. And may be supplement in some raw meats.Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head off

we do it for our labs. it's great. best diet for them really. dogs do not need a balanced diet like humans. read up on it. and it's not too expensive either. search on-line for a coop that buys in bulk to keep costs down. we get premium grade organic food from Oma's Pride in CT but you need to order at least 500LB, so we have a coop of 4-5 people who order together. Cost is approx $150 for 3 months of food. cheaper than dog food and much much better!
What kind of dog? PM if you have questions.

I was a professional dog trainer for years and held classes in various stores and locations and also trained in various kennels. I also had a very good relationship with dog food manufacturers and have absorbed quite a bit of good info on the subject.
Raw food diet is normally a last resort for dogs with serious processed food allergies. It's VERY pricey, produced a ton more clean-up (dog shit), and raw meant often brings bacteria and disease that can cause periodic sickness.
I would recommend going for a high end dog food. It's balanced, guaranteed safe, and offers high quality nutrition. It will also be much much cheaper and simpler to serve. Find a brand that offers meat as teh first ingredients and avoid the ones that have meat and corn meal. Byproducts are bad.
I recommend Solid Gold, Natural Balance, and Royal Canin breed specific formulas.sigpic

eeeh not exactly honey. I've been through numerous training courses/conventions with top US trainers and am CCPTD certified. Most of my work has been through private kennels- but the store classes is where you meet the food reps. Funny though.sigpic

what is a good breed specific for a rotti?
i was feeding him nutro large breed (so so food) then one day he started shedding coat like crazy for no reason. i tried several different brands and settled on solid gold wolf king bison and salmon. that was fine (although he wasn't totally keen on eating it like the nutro) for a while, but after being let go from work i switched back to the nutro for now since i can't do $60+ for a bag of food right now. i haven't had any ill effects from it though. and i am giving him a glucosamine and chondroitin pill separatelyseien Sie größer, als Sie erscheinen
