Quick question for all the Dallas guys.

I have 2 apartments I'm looking at..I know which one I like the best (because its bigger) but I'd like to know how much I will value the carport the one I don't like as much comes with?

    1) 675 sq ft, 3rd floor, no carport 580
    2) 628 sq ft, 3rd floor, carport 585

I like the larger apartment. The larger apartments offers carports for $40 extra a month (something I won't do)

If I were to move back to Dallas being young and single I would probably live in the ND/ Addison area. Lots to do there, nice area, only minutes from downtown via the ND tollway, and with george bush turnpike DFW is only 20-30 min. and yes there is no shortage of women in Dallas:D

Sounds good thanks for the info. I'm not trying to be "higher" class so I'll check it out but won't spend too much time there. I just don't want to walk outside and 1) get raped 2) shot 3) have my local gang banger ask if he may use my car for the day. haha

Southlake is the "higher" class of all of the cities listed. But I don't there are any apartments or condos in all of Southlake, just homes. Colleyville & Euless are neighboring cities that may be the best bet.

The above cities that you listed seem to fit the location I'm looking for pretty well. Anyone of those stand out as being a better place to live then the others? I'd like to stay around 600 a month for an 1 bdrm apartment..hopefully that is possible.

Grapevine, Euless, Southlake, Westlake, Colleyville, & Coppell are pretty good places to live. North Ft Worth is also pretty nice too.

South Dallas & Oak Cliff general area is where you want to avoid. Arlington & Grand Prairie is an okay place to live, but not all that great.

So just a small update. I recieved the locations of where I'll be working, for security reasons I won't be putting a specific location up.

There are 2 DC's. 1 in Grand Prairie and the other is in Roanoke. I'll be flying down next saturday to check out apartments.

Anyone fimiliar with the areas and maybe could shine some light on locations to live? its pretty darn close to DFW so I'm guessing traffic is going to be really shitty every day. I wanted to get a place in the middle but that would seriously put me RIGHT near DFW.

    Dallas is:
Cheap to live, expensive to party
    flat as shit
Hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

...but the women make it all worth it :)

That's what I was thinking but wasn't sure.

Congrats on having a job before graduating. I just started a new job last month and had two headhunters call me the 2nd week I was there.

I was pissed because one of them was for a job I had applied for awhile back that would have probably been $10k more a year.

Haha...I know its hard to sense sarcasm online. I've met him in person before at Teaguer's shop. He's pretty cool in person.

I've been looking on DPD's website and can't find anything on CCW's. Do any you guys know off the top of your head some rules for CCW? Here we make an appointment with the sheriff and he approves you. I need to know if having my Ohio CCW will transfer to Texas or if I need to make an appointment with Chuck Norris haha.
