if you take steroids and sit on the couch shouting at the football game on TV, stuffing your face with food. you will get FAT! steroids increase your metabolism, and your appetite there by causing you to consume way more food.
i can always tell when summer time is coming up because most of the regulars at the gym that are in there early 20's (still too early to do steroids BTW) all of the sudden get huge. they all clamor around in little groups talking about their pump ETC. then by the end of summer they have shrunk back down to their norm size. that is doing it for vanity, nothing more.
No shit you have to work out. But yes, if you work out, you get MAGICALLY HUGE. I'll tell you that there arent many who work out more or harder than I do (that I know, or see at the gym). He definitely did not. Ive worked out with him, he lifted heavy, but not as intense as he could or should have. And I dont give a fuck if you have to work out as hard as ever. The fact is you are still on a substance that is illegal in the states , and gives unfair advantages. Fact: If you didnt get a totally unfair advantage, people wouldnt take roids for the consequences they will pay in the long run.But Im Glad you are the resident roid expert, I'll PM you when I wanna do a cycle.

His game and status has everything to do with his vision and he has gained a HUGE edge now that his eyes have better than perfect vision and the golfing world didn't bat an eye at it. Now when a bodybuilder/powerlifter takes steroids to enhance his performance to gain an edge, isn't it the same thing? I mean they already have to train like crazy to get where they are right, just like Tiger Woods?
Absolutely not. What Tiger Woods has is a god given gift. If he were taking pills for his 20/15 eyesite, then sure, its wrong. IF there werent any advantages, then everyone would run as fast as one another, throw a ball as far as one another, hit as hard, etc. Its the fact that it is a god given gift, which makes it special.

There are guys out there who can get HUGE quickly. Then there are guys (like the guy I work next to during the day) who cant gain weight. You should see how he eats, its disgusting. But hes still 140 lbs. I can get bigger than anyone I know, quicker than anyone I know (naturally). But I have a hell of a time getting lean quickly, I really have to bust my ass. But I have friends who are naturally lean, but cant get as large as quickly. So they really have to work to get big.

My feeling is its the advantages that god has given (not to get too spiritual), along with hard work, that gets you where you want to be, and thats what makes it awesome. The same goes for those who are great at engineering, those who are awesome wives/husbands, etc. Some people have their "calling" or their niche. Taking this substance totally takes the natural joy out of it. JMO.

it is like this argument i have heard over and over again.
coming from people who do drugs (smoke pot, do coke, prescription drugs) or who constantly drink excessively. "how can you do steroids? that is so horrible and bad for you. steroids are just dirty!"

"and doing what you are doing is good for you isn't it?" "at least i gain something healthy from doing steroids" "what does shooting smack do that is good for you?"

there is always going to be people that abuse substances, no matter what they are or their proper uses are. ultimately you are responsible for your own actions and must face the consequences for them.

no matter what suicide is not a way to handle your shit!

you let me know and i'll give you a shopping list ;)

getting pissy because someone has an informed and slightly different view from your own is not the way to handle things.

          agree to disagree?

            Sure. I can respect that.

Kinda funny, because I went to get a physical about 2 months ago probably. My doctor told me I needed to lose weight. He said my BMI told him I was OBESE. Im 5'8.5 and 206 lbs. I informed him I worked out 6 days a week, ate healthy, was 10-12% body fat, depending on what monitor you use. And he said it didnt matter, I was at a higher rate or cardio vasular disease in the future.

I always thought it was healthier also. Either we're both wrong, and hes correct. Or he has this dinosaur way of telling if a person is healthy or not, and he should adjust it.

I was kidding about the roids though. I'll never get into taking those. Im a little proud of never taking roids.

i know, i had to come back with a sarcastic answer.
i think the doc is wrong, but with the food intake you have to have to maintain weight/growth, you will need to be careful to keep it extra clean as you get older.

you are going to be in for joint issues sooner than a normal person would be from heavy lifting though. if your gym doesn't have hammer stregnth machines, look into one that does. you will be better off in the long run to use them when you heavy lift. hammer stregnth was developed to help take as much load off of the joint, but still involve the most muscle.

i think it is time for more prescription drugs so my leg will stop feeling like it is on fire! HA HA slight hypocrisy there (they are for my surgery)

back OT: suicide = the easy way out/bullshit

life is hard for a reason, just put your head down and plow through the hard parts. There are only hard parts in life because there are such amazing, good parts of it. It is dumb to end your life when the good stops. There has to be fucking balance.

Sorry i just have no respect for anyone who kills themselves
What you clearly fail to realize; and may not understand, is that some people have bad issues because of how they were treated as a kid. I listen to children being interviewed by social workers every day, and some of the shit I hear makes me sick to my stomach.

I used to think exactly how you do, "What a cowardly way out." But now that I'm older, and I have learned shit, I understand why people do it. They are just fucked up in the head; be it their fault or someone else's.

But please, don't generalize and call everyone who commits suicide a chicken shit. In your lifetime you will likely never even approach the struggles many 10 year olds have already gone through.

thats a really ignorant statement. do you know anything about clinical depression? i guarantee you in your lifetime youll know someone who blows their head off or intentionally overdoses or offs themselves in some other way. i just hope you arent too close to them.
i wish heeter were here to list the statistics but theres a whole hell of a lot of people who are clinically depressed and end up taking their own lives

Well, i know what it's like to hit rock bottom and to have a serious suicide plan. I've dealt with depression and a mild form of autism for a long time, so I know how that messes up the way you think and approach life. If you've never been seriously depressed, you likely have no idea what it's like.

Even after the "help" i've received, after working my ass off at a hard job, taking some time off from school, I still hate life and still often think about how easy it would be to off myself. To some people, life offers no reward, and when you get the idea of suicide in your head, it doesn't want to leave. I haven't lived a truly hard life, but to me it is damn near impossible to set some life goals or to find some meaningful reason for me to carry on, and it is about impossible to be talked out of how much I think life sucks. I'm basically taking everybody's word for it when they say that things will eventually get better when I find something that I really like to do.

Read some existentialist books. Life isn't about living up to other people's expectations or meeting that status quo.
"We praise or find fault, depending on which of the two provides more opportunity for our powers of judgement to shine."
