I didn't read through all the posts, but I figure I'd just offer up my personal experience.

I went through 3 Storms (read: 3) before dropping Verizon and picking up an iPhone. I was an iPhone hater when I had my storm, quickly became annoyed with the BB, and have been loving my iPhone since w/ AT&T coverage...

Now, you can attack me if you want, I'm not talking trash, it's just offering up personal experience. I had bad ones, 3 times, and have had no issues with my Apple product.

PM me for detailing services in the Longmont / Boulder Area in Colorado!

iPhones are nice devices man no fighting that one. AT&T however, super rip off (more than Verizon!). You guys been seeing those Verizon comeback commercials? AT&T got pwned.

To be honest, and it's truely ignorant to believe otherwise, but all advertising is skewed to a degree.... The latest Verizon commercials i see targeting the ATT coverage is laughable.... Then they put up their map to show they cover everyone... Woo hoo lol.... I've personally been in a lot of places that Verizon claims ATT doesn't cover, and I have in all honesty had little to no issue.... I visit my friend in the middle of no where in Nebraska fairly frequently, as well as my sister who is living 45 minutes north of him, and I have full 3G service... Sometimes more reliable coverage than sister and friend who both have Verizon. All the marketing stuff is just aimed at discrediting the other company (it used to be somewhat even on who targeted who), but lately it's blatantly obvious that Verizon is targeting AT&T.

Typing this stuff is getting on my nerves kinda, cause in reality, I don't care one single bit about who advertises the best and such... it comes down to customer service being my number 1 thing, and then coverage.... I was furious with Verizon, hence me leaving... I've had nothing but good experiences with AT&T so far, no dropped calls, always have service (same places my Verizon phones worked) where I'm at and going, so who cares if I won't get coverage in a field in the middle of Kansas....

EDIT: I will say though, I know people personally who can stand right next to me with their AT&T phones and not get the same coverage I am. I know many unhappy people who switch from Verizon to AT&T, as well as many unhappy people who switch TO Verizon. It's all kinda on a person to person basis. I can't argue that Verizon is a juggernaut, but I was unhappy and was having issues, I'm having no problems with AT&T and haven't lost coverage in places I frequently visit or whatever. The phone itself (since I got off-top) was buggy, and glitchy, and was doing things that had the employees and managers at the 2 verizon stores I visited just staring, dumbfounded.

Thats cool, you now speak for like 10 people on the AT&T network.
I read cell phone blogs daily and have been for years. AT&T has a shitty coverage area. Verizon has a huge one. AT&T has the iPhone. Verizon doesnt.
It cant get any simpler than that.

I have AT&T for work and Verizon for personal use.

The AT&T service even in NYC sucks.....the clarity is bad and dropped calls all the time. Verizon on the other hand beats AT&T hands down pretty much in everything.

I'd jump ship in a heart beat to get the phone I really wanted. I mean, I dont have a specific hard-on for Verizon, but it sure does work nicely.

My Storm1 shit the bed, had an SOS connection after a series of JVM errors. I took it into the store, and stayed calm, joked around with the people at Verizon, told them about the issue, (they had never seen it) and joked that Verizon should just upgrade everyone with the crappy Storm1. Then the told me they'd have to ship out a replacement because they had none in-store.

FedEx just dropped it off, and to my surprise, they shipped me a Storm2. For free. I think I just may love Verizon again. I will update opinion soon...

They're doing that for everyone now.
Storm 1 was phased out totally I think. They make it super easy to go from one to the other. Similiar to what Apple does with AT&T to get people up to the newer version everytime one is released.

                              FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

So, issue with Verizon, my girls phone died, and she got a replacement Storm1.

Big issue with RIM, they decided BB6 will not come out for the Storm2. I waited for BB5, and that almost made the Storm1 bearable, now I have Storm2, and no upgrade. FUCK!

I am getting an Android phone, I'm done with this bullshit.

Ive always loved Blackberry, but they arent making good business decisions here to keep up with the trend. They'll be back with something awesome.

Just sucks for Blackberry, because smartphones are so widely accepted now. Their strong points are no longer a selling point to the general consumer. Like security and email and phone dialing. Now its Facebook, Twitter, MMS, and bullshit apps. Womp. I really like Blackberry too :(
