I know, we ate there in January when I was in town and it's really bad.

Real Mexican restaurants don't have websites.

          Great point. Well executed.

Just to recap, chips and salsa from mexican restaurants are almost the most exciting thing creating by humans. Just think about it.. the anxiousness you get once you sit down... just WAITING for them to be delivered. Once they have landed... glory proceeds. Charlie knows what I'm talking about. How do I know this? Because he knows that I know he knows how to know what I know about him, and knowingly knows all that I know.

I too enjoy chips and salsa as much as anyone else. But I get disappointed when a restaurant has sub par salsa. it almost ruins the rest of the meal. I feel like I can make better salsa than most of those restaurants have.

All you need is tomato (or tomatillos if you want green), onion, cilantro, jalapeno, garlic, lime juice, salt and pepper. Go heavy on the jalapenos and don't go overboard on the garlic.

Last year I grew vegetables for the first time so I got to use my own tomatoes and jalapenos. This is making me hungry and it's 1:00 am.

^^^ Agreed. You can judge the quality of food by the incredibleness of their salsa.

What I hate more than anything is store bought salsa. Nothing compares to homemade or restaurant salsa. It got to the point that any time my family wanted chips and salsa to eat, we would buy it at the local mexican restaurant rather than the store.

thats nuts. ive got a friend from mexico and his mom is 100 percent authentic and she cooks all the stuff we think of as mexican food. and she eats chips and salsa. she definitely didnt pick that up here. must be some parts of mexico or something... though i find it hard to accept!
