So I was thinking today. Every decade has events, people, music, movies, etc. that define it. For example, the 60's was the Beatles, The Vietnam War, Hippies and the Space Race. The 80's was Reagan, shitty computers, hair bands and yuppies. You get the idea. So with this decade almost over, what do you think these defining aspects will be for the 2000's?

I think that 9/11 is a given. Beyond that I think it will be Bush, War on Terrorism/Iraq War, Emo kids/music, and connectivity via cell phones, internet, social networking.

Also, what the fuck do we call this decade? We can't say, for example, the 90's. So what is it?

Really though, in the grand scheme of things, the first decade of this century brought the major internet, just as last century the first decade brought the automobile, and the airplane.

Just imagine what the internet/computers will be in 2094 when Al Gore III, Esq. runs for his second term on the the tenants of his campaign being his great-great grandfather invented the internet.
