hey guys. im looking for a digital camera for no more than 250 dollars. just want a digital camera to capture all the good moments i have ()! so yeah, digital camera, under $250, whats the best bang for you buck, *insert immature comment here*.
Sony DSCW170 or get a 150 or even the next one lower and get a nice memory stick or extra battery. My sister has the 2nd cheapest model in that line and it works great. Probably not the cheapest and those memory sticks are expensive but its small and takes good pictures. pretty fast startup too.
that DSC-W170 is pretty sweet. all these cameras seem so girly though. haha. i might just stick to the film Canon F1 i got from my dad (if i can learn to develop photos, haha).
I would stay away from Nikon point and shoots. They make very good DSLR's, but the quality has plummeted on the Nikon p&s. I would suggest a Canon first, a Sony 2nd.
Are you thinking more about a small, fit in your pocket kinda camera? Or something larger with more zoom, more features, manual modes, etc?
92 325ic 5 speed, hard top, windscreen, 133k, for sale sigpic
just a small camera to carry around in a pocket. i have a nikon f1 from the 80s that im hopefully going to learn to use (develop pictures and stuff). the nikon i have has a bunch of lenses and stuff, but for now im looking just for something to point and shoot, and upload to PC. nothing special.

I agree 100%
While I am a whore for Nikon, I absolutely hate their point and shoots. Canon is definitely the way to go for point and shoot.

Yea if you get the Sony you gotta get the black one the others are girly. I like real cameras myself but sometimes I need to borrow the little ones when I go somewhere because it is just a lot more portable. Plus I hate blending in with the Asian tourists.

I've got a Canon Powershot, but whenever I go home, I most definitely throw the powershot to the side to use the F1 my dad's got. Love that camera.

I know how you feel, haha. I asked for a point and shoot for xmas last year so I didnt have to borrow one when I felt like using one. I keep meaning to put in my glove box for those just in case moments, but I never remember.
