I did this in my Chem lab and thought I would share
What you will need:
[1] bees honey
[2] real maple syrup (not the fake stuff)
[3] a cup or other vessel you don't ever want to use again
[4] a stirring utensel you don't ever want to use again
[5] newspaper or a plastic trash bag to protect the area around your experiment
[6] food coloring (optional)
Step 1: pour equal parts maple syrup and bees honey into cup (optional: add a couple drops of food coloring)
Step 2: stir them together until it starts to look foamy
Step 3: watch and be amazed, because you created polyurethane foam!!
This is what mine looked like. I put a glove over the cup with the ends of the fingers cut off, and green food coloring. This picture is a mess of other experiments we did that day, but you get the idea.
