Riots in Greece, Have any of you experienced this before?

Only one i can think of in the US is the LA riot. What was it like for you guys?

I am thankful i haven't had to experience such social unrest like this.

People don't like misjustice.
Same shit in the L.A. riots. If they had applied justice to the cops to begin with, they would never of had any riots.

As a 12 year old, the riots were fun for me. Of course.... I was 12.

That's crazy.

They were protesting US military presence in Japan while I was there, worst part is everyone thought I was military when I walked up...I was pretty amazed though, the protest lasted all day and it was very organized and there wasn't any fighting or anything. Apparently it happens a lot and the police protect them.

There's a lot of history in Greece. From 1968 and until 1974, Greece was a military dictatorship, supported by the US (just as Chile, Argentina and other South American countries). Citizens still have a lot of ressentment against their government in general, and police in particular, even now. It doesn't take much to light a barrel of powder.
