I have come to terms that if I want amazing flavor and enjoyment without being able to be pissed at the cook/wait staff, Just make it at home. It will be perfect to what it is you want.

BTW, Bobby Flay's restruant in LV is my one stop.

Thats the one thing that I did respect about emerill's place. The waitstaff was epic. They brought out new silverware for each dish, new napkins, etc. Cleared plates as soon as we were finished, we practically had a guy waiting around next to our table just out of earshot to make sure that we had anything we needed.

maybe my problem is im cheap. if i drop 200 on dinner for my wife and i (neither of us drink) i am angry and dont enjoy the meal. i did eat at my sons restaurant in the french quarter for lunch and dropped 150 for 3 of us and it was awesome but a lot of shit was comp'd. if my kid didnt work there it wouldnt have been as enjoyable because i would have been pissed about 150 for lunch

I'm cheap as well, but spending a couple hundred on an epic dining experience once every couple of years seems worthwhile to me, especially when I would spend the same amount of money on stupid shit like dinner for two and enough liquor to get a party crunk for an evening.

I am in Vegas once a year and the top of the world is amazing, I dont eat like that a lot but when I am in Vegas thats the time to do it. Bally's has a buffet like $75 but all you can eat lobster, crab legs, steak, and anything else you could want.
