i dont like eating bottled marinara although i have to admit theres a few that arent bad. but my wife makes the best shit and she grows everything that goes in it except the garlic.
she cans it so we can have it year round. fucking deer ate 90% of our tomatoes this year though after busting thru the fence. im setting up claymores next spring for those fuckers
One of my standby pasta recipes is garlic Ravioli and prawns. A few times a year I make a BIG batch of ricotta/spinach ravioli and freeze it.
Boil the ravioli till done making sure the heat isn't up too high or you'll cause the ravioli to burst! On stovetop brown butter and LOTS of garlic, add cooked Ravioli and brown until all sides are a tad crunchy- remove from pan and top with lots and lots of parmesan. Then quickly cook the prawns in the butter and minced garlic, add a little olive oil. When cooked toss with ravioli. Viola. Easy as pie and SO tasty!
