Finally catching on to the MPG gauge...

Ford and Honda's next-gen instrument clusters feature trees (a vine in Ford's case) that grow more lush as drivers learn to hypermile — the fine art of maximizing fuel economy.

So they're finally adding what BMW has had all along.

hmpf...I want to burn fuel, not grow pixelated trees on my dash. Waste.

Every day I wake up we drink a lot of coffee and watch the CNN
Every day I wake up to a bowl of clover honey and let the locusts fly in.
    Lobsterbacks attack the town again
Wrap all my things in aluminum
Beams of darkness streak across the sky
Pink rays from the ancient satellite
Every time I look out my window same three dogs looking back at me.
Every time I open my windows cranes fly in to terrorize me.

Instead of wasting money on stupid stuff like this. They could of done more by spending the money that they put into making the cyberplant, and go out and plant a real tree.

Other car makers are adding a servo to the gas pedal that adds more-and-more resistance to you stomping on the gas.

My 1984 BMW 318i had one of these...

My 15 year old volvo had one of these...

Fucking ford is dumb, and honda is retarded too.

I hate people that don't realize that they're part of the problem too

People will still drive like jerks. The people who care took the 10 seconds it takes to think and learn about how to drive efficiently. The others will continue to peel out from traffic lights, blissfully forcing their children's world into a more decrepit state.

You could program so the EML would limit acceleration for optimum economy on newer BMWs...

People would really hate it though.

Or produced a car that wasn't a plastic hunk of shit, or designed a car that doesn't have the grill off a lawn tractor and the body of a b5 passat.
