The reason I use bold and underline to highlight what I believe to be the important points in my posts, is that I've noticed people like Joshh and yourself seem to be having a difficult time keeping up, struggling to read or comprehend anything else I've written so far. Try to imagine the bold and underlined bits as the aforementioned colouring books or comic books, and that way you can skip over all the grown up bits which you're having such difficulty understanding. I'll try to include some pictures for you next time, okay?
Please stop trying to act like your some great writer and lecturer, you are failing at this on a grand level. You come across more as an imature person then anything else
I'm having a hard time following you here. When you say "Americas", are you referring to the North and South American continent-type Americas? Or did you mean to write, "Americans"?
Try using Google sometimes to research your "facts". You'd be surprised to discover that only less than 25% of Americans are Catholic.
I'll assume you meant to say 80% of Americans call themselves "Christian", of which there must be at least 500 different flavours to choose from, all of which remind me of a joke I saw recently, might even have been here.
The 1st Amendment to your US Constitution says:[INDENT]"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."
Wrong. What it means is that no favor shall be shown to any one religion. Remember the US was started on people wanting to practice their own religion with out fear of persecution. America then as now, had many versions of christianity, so showing favor to any one version of christianity had the potential to be just like what this country hated.Over the years this has come to allow for all religions and practices...that are demeed ok by society.
The purpose of the Constitution is to ensure that the equal rights of every person under your Constitution, especially the minorities, will always take precedence over whatever flavour of religious hokum is in fashion at the time.
seriously what do they teach in canada about the US
Just like your Catholics, your Christians, your Reformed Baptist Church of God Reformation of 1915, just like your Jews, your Blacks, your Orientals, your Hispanics, and even your Irish, all of which are American citizens just like yourself and entitled to get married even if they aren't "Christian", your gays and lesbians are every bit equally American citizens and entitled to exactly the same rights.
Is not marriage something created by relgions? Why should people that dont follow a religion want to take part in one of its ceromonies? Because society says its the ultimate way of dedicating your self, is to follow religious standards of love and of a family
How does it hurt you or anybody else if they marry?
Treating them differently than other American citizens, forcing them to "sit at the back of the bus" so to speak, is not that much different than cutting their heads off.
Okay so its wrong to treat gays different the others, but are handicapped people not given special treatment? Do women not have doors opened for them? thats special treatment last I checked. Why should a group thats differnt be given the same treat ment as the "norm" ?
Long before Hitler managed to figure out a way to kill off Jews in large enough numbers, he first practised his techniques on smaller minorities. Gays and lesbians, the mentally disabled, the physically disabled, Romanian gypsies, all the small minorities that everyone treated as trash anyway and nobody would miss.
Wrong again. Hitler didnt get his "practice" on the gays/mental/gypsies...what he did is he used them as scapegoats for the economy being as bad as it was. He gave the people an object to get their anger and frustration out on. Jews where targeted like the rest from the begning, infact most of the other groups where cast down much later...as they where seen as being unfit for Hitlers version of the SUPREME RACE.
Again, I speak English, French and German. How the heck am I supposed to agree or disagree with what you just wrote there when I haven't the faintest idea what you're trying to say.
Please try rewriting that in either English, French, or German, and we'll have another go at it.
Pull your head down a bit, trying to take the superior nose in the air route to spelling errors, or improper grammer on the net makes you seem like the larger fool
Because that was another Constitutional rights violation that people at the time simply accepted as normal. Much like the one in the initial post in this thread.
Absent probable cause, and absent consent, the Homeland Security officers have no right to search your car for drugs at an immigration checkpoint. Refusal to give consent is not grounds for probable cause. Even if you are a disrespectful dick.
I will agree with you on that case, they had no right to search the mans car
Oh, look whose using bold and underline now! It's fun, isn't it?
What difference does it make how old I am? If I say I'm only 13, you'll tell me to grow up and respect my elders. If I tell you I'm 85, you'll call me a senile old fart no longer capable of clear thinking.
Either way, 13 or 85, I'm entitled to my opinions. You're welcome to ignore them if you wish.

I was walking across a bridge one day, and I saw a man standing on the edge, about to jump off. I immediately ran over and said, "Stop! Don’t do it!"
"Why shouldn’t I?" he said.
I said, "Well, there’s so much to live for!"
"Like what?"
"Well ... are you religious or atheist?"
"Religious."
"Me too! Are you Christian or Jewish?"
"Christian."
"Me too! Are you Catholic or Protestant?"
"Protestant."
"Me too! Are you Episcopalian or Baptist?"
"Baptist."
"Wow! Me too! Are you Baptist Church of God or Baptist Church of the Lord?"
"Baptist Church of God."
"Me too! Are you Original Baptist Church of God, or are you Reformed Baptist Church of God?"
"Reformed Baptist Church of God."
"Wow! Me too! Are you Reformed Baptist Church of God, reformation of 1879, or Reformed Baptist Church of God, reformation of 1915?"
"Reformed Baptist Church of God, reformation of 1915!"
To which I said, "Die, heretic scum!" and pushed him off.
The point of all that, [pay attention, it's bold and underlined here because this is the important bit], the point is it doesn't matter if you're Catholic, or even if you're Reformed Baptist Church of God, Reformation of 1915, or any other flavour of Christian."Why shouldn’t I?" he said.

Its hard to ignore someone no matter the age, that is incorrect, and attacks others with little to no facts and a huge amount of ignorance to what he claims to know a great deal about.
