    The reason why is on a local board, we have a guy who imports containers back from Japan to a local wharehouse. He asks people what they would like for him to look out for and then puts it all in a container to ship back.

    Long story short --Someone mentioned this and I googled and really fail to understand this accessory.

            basically, generally, it symbolizes good luck

            a lot of VIP car enthusiasts in Japan used to be farmers, and farmers would create these fusa and kiku knots back then as a symbol of wishing for rain for their crops, or, good luck.

            now they hang the same knots in their cars

            that thing hanging off the mirror is a fusa
