    How do I kill a gopher!?

    Bastards won't DIE! They have basically eaten through my front lawn. Looks like a battle field for midgets. We have tried poison, rat traps , drowning them, tons more poison, shot one with a pellet gun, and they still won't die. I think the poison is just making them fatter because the holes they are digging are getting bigger and bigger. :curse:

    Anyone have gopher killing advice! :hitler:

              Rodent Bombs? Like smoke bombs filled with poison gas. Works wonders on groundhogs, I'm assuming gophers too.

                  or you need something a bit stronger than a pellet gun (or become a better shot with it) I would suggest a 22mag or .22hornet. but I suspect you live in town so that limits ur options, get some cheap glass for a rimfire rifle and install it on the pellet gun and get better with it a good head shot will kill em at 20-30 yards w/ 10 pump .117 cal pellet.

                      You need to wake up at around 5am or basically the crack of dawn. This is when you'll see them start to push. As soon as you see them pushing take careful aim with your shotgun and fire at least one shot in the dirt were you seem them pushing. You can always pop off a few shots but make sure that first one is good because he'll lay low after that till the next morning. Take a show and go check out to see if you made the kill. The shovel can be used to finish him off if you'd like too.

                      My college professor was all about this. He'll take up half the class talking about killing moles/gophers sometimes. He loved it and I loved his stories so I'd try to get him to talk about it.

                          Nic: Moles are a whole nother story, they require a law chair 2 shoves and a cooler full of beer. step one smash all tunnes, step 2 set up chair right on said tunnel. step 3 sit in chair drink beer till mole shows up you will see the ground going back up. step 4 slam shovel in ground right in front of him (moles cant turn around) and then chop the ground where the mole was with the other shovel till you get blood.

                                              that will do it, never gotten that mid evil on them. but a 22-250 and .223 is fun at 200 yards.
