Id love to train into the combat officer position for SERE, Pararescue, Combat Controller. I can run (7:50 for 1 1/2 miles) and push like a mofo, but ive never swam a bunch in my life.
Its sucks being a bigger guy running. Fastest 2 mile time was 13:43. Do it if you want. I suggest doing it enlisted though. You do alot more that way in terms of operations. Worked with CROs and STOs for the last couple of years so know the ins and outs.

I'm reasonably certain, DE guard just decided to start paying for grad school as well. Good news, it can only get better and more money will be offered in years to come.

Haha, i guess i have a biased opinion as im sitting on a DDG out in the middle of nowhere on month 4.5 of deployment. The Navy is a pretty good choice as well, my sister was in the airforce and got to go to Ramstein before she got out and they do take care of their people really well. However depending on the rate you pick in the Navy, like myself Im a Crytpologic Tech and yea we go to ships too but we can also go to australia, germany, england, italy and all those places aswell working on intel stuff. They gave me over 35 grand for school, a TS SCI clearance and they take care of me pretty well. Its pretty much what you make of it and what you want to get out of it, because trust me any branch will get exponentially more out of you than what they put in to you, so just be sure you make decisions on your terms or atleast agree with them, and read EVERYTHING. shoot me an email if you need any advice or help, ill be sitting on this steel beach for another few months so ive got the time haha.
