France is such a country. So is (was) Tunisia. Up to 1967, that country included 1/3 Jews, 1/3 Christians, 1/3 Muslims. The balance only sheared after the 6 days war, when Tunisian Jews fled, in fear of retaliation.

I also mentioned to Yoni in a previous post that half my friends were Arabs, and half were Jews, during my childhood. And religion was never mentionned, because we never cared. We were just friends.
