Way of topic but i'm at my wits end. Wife's car, an '03 Audi Allroad. Good car but potentially very expensive. It is a CPO car about to go out of warranty. The dealer sells a plan that looks great on paper but it is through a company called fidelity and i can't find anyone with anything good to say about them. Can anyone recommend a company they have had luck with or heard good things about? Thanks for any help here. -George.

Thanks for the feedback, "easy care" does seem to have more positive feedback than most others. A crapshoot to some degree whoever i go with and it may well be a false sense of security. In case anyone else is ever looking in to this- edmunds.com has a "town hall" section on their site and it provided by far the most information/feedback regarding extended warranties. Apco (parent company of Easycare) is a good company. Easycare is actually Ford's product, but you can get the same coverage from Apco.
i trust this company and know it's owner on a personal level. he is a stand up guy that came up with the idea of an extended warranty years ago. believe it or not his first customer was Honda of america. I can't vouche for his product completly, but I can vouch for his character and the people he surrounds himself with. Purely one of the best people I have ever met, and I have met alot.

I have my reservations but at least i can get in their faces if they try to squirm out of thing instead of doing it over the phone. A benefit of using their paln is free loaner cars which sounds small but with my wifes schedule and shuttling kids around it is a big deal. I did some more research and talked to a couple more people at the dealer including a service consulatant to get some more info. In my gut i side with Robert but this car is so complex i want to have something for it even if it is a fight to get them to honor a claim. Also, it was the only plan that listed the suspension compressor and airbags as covered items. -George.Comment

on "old" newer luxury cars id say its definitely nice to have. Theres alot of stuff that can go wrong, being able to roll it in to a dealer and get the front end suspension links replaced or the ABS control module, and the plan has paid for itself already.
if you have a honda accord, id say its a waste. If you have a early 2000's 7 series, hell yes.Comment
