    Richard M. Nixon

I have been thinking about this for a while now... and have decided that Tricky Dick was probably the most intelligent president this country has had so far... (Abraham Lincoln came in second in my book)

Also as to entertainment value... He was the tops... "I am not a crook" That one still has me laughing.

Quotes Attributed to Richard M. Nixon:

"Any change is resisted because bureaucrats have a vested interest in the chaos in which they exist."

"A man is not finished when he's defeated; he's finished when he quits."

"Remember, always give your best. Never get discouraged. Never be petty. Always remember, others may hate you. But those who hate you don't win unless you hate them. And then you destroy yourself."

"As this long and difficult war ends, I would like to address a few special words to...the American people: Your steadfastness in supporting our insistence on peace with honor has made peace with honor possible."

"I also believe that academic freedom should protect the right of a professor or student to advocate Marxism, socialism, communism, or any other minority viewpoint--no matter how distasteful to the majority."

"Nothing would please the Kremlin more than to have the people of this country choose a second rate president."

"Sure there are dishonest men in local government. But there are dishonest men in national government too."

"The Chinese use two brush strokes to write the word 'crisis.' One brush stroke stands for danger; the other for opportunity. In a crisis, be aware of the danger - but recognize the opportunity."

Although he was part of some bad shit, he got a bad rap mostly unjustly.
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

"I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents. Charity is no part of the legislative duty of the [federal] government." ~ James Madison

Frost/Nixon - It's a doc-u-drama, that tells the story of a BBC reporter that follows Nixon after watergate.

The "Watergate" was an office building/appartemnt complex. Now it's all condos. I have an old flame that has a corporate suite there.

Yep. If you are out of the loop, rent "cloverfeild" - sit in a dark room and hug a pellow/tranny cross brace.

What ever you have on hand. You'll need it.

Not really a "docudrama", it's a David Mammet play adapted for the screen.

If you like drama then Frost/Nixon is a good movie. If you prefer the in your face action, explosions and shitty acting then Frost/Nixon isn't for you.
