Ok...so...first and foremost, I'm posting on my fiance's account, so don't get mad at him...
Second, I apologize for what happened at Woodinville...that sucks! I work at the Kirkland whse, and we some times have issues with Woodinville. That's not to say that they aren't a good whse, they just some times play with a different set of rules. The corporate offices do give whse managers a lot of freedom to interpert the policies set out by them. Woodinville does tend to take liberties that make no sense...
Third, I'm a supervisor (below a manager, but above peon, and people make more than $9/hr on their first day...starting pay is $11/hr), so I'm the first person that tells you you can't shop on someone else's card. Now the reason for that strict policy, is unlike Safeway, Best Buy or other stores, we make almost no money on the products we sell. The highest mark up we can have is 14% (15% on Kirkland Signature items). And not every product in the store has a 14% margin. On the 2 gallons of milk we sell, Costco makes about 4 cents (or 2 cents a gallon). On these pennies we pay all out payroll, ultilites, for the product from the vendor, etc...Where most of the money comes from is the membership fees. So if we let everyone just shop on another membership regardless of relation we wouldn't make money. That doesn't mean that what happened is right, but it is our policy.
I also agree that there has to be something more to this story to get the membership pulled. We can track sales and returns, and I know there are many more people that abuse our return policy for more than $27 and still have membership. I think that there has to be more...
About keeping the card, technically because it is a membership based business we can keep any card we want. But as with when your card is lost by your own doing, you can just go to membership and get another one for free.
Oh and a side note, the Kirkland whse isn't the first one, the first is actually the one in downtown Seattle on 4th ave. The reason it's Kirkland Signature, is because when the Costco brand was made the HQs were in Kirkland and the name came from there... In sequence of opening (not inculding Price Club locations that Costco bought), #1) Downtown Seattle, #2) Portland, Or, #3) Southcenter (which is location #6), then #4) Kirkland (which is location #8)....
And to all the members...any large purchases you have in the future you are more than welcome to make at my whse....:nice:92 325ic 5 speed, hard top, windscreen, 133k, for sale

I'd rather them be on the safe side.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

I shop with other peoples card. I even use my sister's card. I had an awesome card with no picture before too. I know what you mean about making money off membership only because some of the prices are crazy low and I even buy a gallon of ketchup just because its the same price as 16 oz. somewhere else.
Once my dad tried to buy like 900 dollars worth of alcohol with my card and they took it away so I had to go pick up the card and all the liquor.
Nic. is your store's food court inside or out? The one near my house is outside so if I ever get banned I can still get cheap ass hotdogs and pizza.sigpicComment

I think there is some confusion here, I am banned from coming back to the store. The membership was not taken away, my family isn't banned. I'm not sure how that confusion occurred. Second, I'll still go to that Costco and any other Costco. I think I'll be fine since we are family friend with the VP of Costco and our families have been close sense before my birth. They told my mother I was not to return and that I was banned from the store. I thought this made for a good story and wanted to vent so I typed it.
The Woodinville one is on the inside but the Kirkland one is outside. Either way it doesn't matter since I'm still going to go to both of them. They won't remember me. So many people go in and out all the time and its not like I go there very often.Nic. is your store's food court inside or out? I admit I was and I already new about there policy, however I've been a member myself and I was shopping for my mother. I used to be on the families account but said to put my younger brother on because he is married now and will have more use for it. Oh I even told them to call my house, which they did but not for the reason I wanted them to.Comment

No, like I said I don't really care and will still go there. I really like Costco as a whole and I know all about there business practices. What people don't know they fill in with there imaginations, so for the people who don't like me and think I'm a loser, they'll picture things how they want to and for the others they'll just take this as some random ish to read and use to pass some free time. Either way I gave you something to do.Comment

I don't think most people realize how much money Costco pays. The average wage in my department is over $21/hr.Comment

Needs more cro cropping.
Of the two times I went I had this problem: one I ran an errand for my grandpa to get something that Sam's doesn't have and I left without a problem. Then another time he bought something and then I realized I wanted something, took his card, and went back. The cashier was all up in arms saying I shouldn't but I got through anyway.
Sam's Club. Yeah, it's owned by Wal*Mart but you don't get the trashy people I see at my local Wal*Mart.

we got a membership to sams club as a gift. We buy tons of paper products for my wife biz so we went to check it out. Ive never been in a sams club but i regularly shop online with my sisters costco account and have crap shipped to my building. Sams club is the most ghetto fucking store ive ever been in. What a fucking shithole. Its maybe 10 miles from gods country so that in itself should have warned me but im always up for something free. We bought a bunch of crap and tried to pay with a visa card and the retard behind the counter tells me they dont accept visa. So im pissed because i have to pay 200 dollars in cash for this shit. I will never go back to that place ever. Its like a fleet farm, dollar store and walmart all rolled into one. Im so much better than anyone who shops there it even amazes meneeds more cro cropping.
