Comedy Central is killing another comedian

First, it was Carlos Mencia. Pretty in his older original standups, got his own show, now he's shit.

Then it was Lewis Black. Absolutely hilarious. Gets his own show, it's garbage, and no one gives a fuck anymore.

Now they're doing it to Demetri Martin. Why can't they just hurry up and give Dane Cook his own show, so the world can just forget about him already?

I know most people don't like Mencia, that's not the point here. Comedy Central doesn't get that you can't put stand up comedians in to scripted half-hour TV shows with shitty sketches written by fired MadTV writers and have it last more than a season.

I saw this the other night and I was upset...I don't see how they're going to give him a series and not let it run dry and die like Black's did. My dad and I have always loved Black's material and we thought he got the shaft from CC with his show.

Dane and Carlos suck anyways....but I agree with you about the shows.

Comedy isn't about how often. It's about quality. Forcing a comic to come up with that many jokes in a short period of time is bound to destroy any comic.

It drives me NUTS that Comedy Central hasn't gone to HD yet. You'd think they would have done it sooner.
