I want to unlock my Nokia.

Call your cell phone provider and tell them you will be traveling to the united states and would like to use a prepaid sim card in the phone.

they should (t-mobile in the states did anyway) provide you with an unlock code and directions on how to use said code.

            cellphonehacks.com

            OR

            howardforums.com

Both should have the info you need. Or at least some ideas.

Yep, or search google. I unlocked my 3100 with one of those software thingers. Basically a little piece of software which you input your cell info, it outputs a number, and gives instructions on how to enter it. If you enter it correctly, it unlocks! Very simple to do yourself.

An email to the service provider is usually the best way to go. Tmobile provided the code for my 6610. I just told them I wanted to use international calling cards; but that excuse wont work if your phone isn't a world phone with the i at the end of the model number, like my 6610i. You may have to tell them that you're selling the phone to a friend who is on a different provider or something.

I don't trust those online ones because you only get a couple chances to put the code in, after that it's perma-locked. If the software isn't 100% then you're hosed.

Common sense- It's the new 'gifted'
