Short gist: "Cash for Clunkers", aka government money to crush & scrap older parts cars. That one was killed off, now they've got a new one, they want to go after running cars as well. Think about how many non-enthusiasts you still see out there with E30s, e28s, not to mention e21s, e12s, 02's, etc. Now realize that they'd like to give them 4k to buy a 2004 or newer car and crush the old car. Think about all the nicely trashed parts cars & replacement shells. Think about the spike in replacement parts costs.

Not to mention this will artifically drive up the value of every old car for no reason! Imagine going on craigslist and seeing every beat ass 325e asking price 4000. Make an offer and " no the state will give me $4000 for scrapping it" Fucking makes me sick. Im putting my tin foil hat on now.
