Well at least one m3 is done.....

just got the shocks built, motor, speed control installed. just need a battery and charger setup now. thinking about lights, hence why the grills are not installed.

im about to get my hands on a spare m3 body. i think im gonna paint it all up to look like my real m3. white, red bumper stripes etc.

i think im gonna buy another one of these kits to hold onto. i got this weird feeling they will become rare again here soon (this is the 2nd release of this body on a new(er) chassis).

anyone else have a bmw rc car

originally it took me a few days (only 2-3 hours a day) to sit and take my time going through it. i bought the kit and then bought all the suspension pieces before i even opened the box to see what i had to work with. i got the marjority of it assembled then i put it away. i was bored the other day so i got the car out of the closet and went to a hobby store to get the motor etc for it.

you can find the kits all over ebay. i got mine on a store closing sale that was posted on ebay. i see the majority are from hong kong now. i want another one cause i think they will be like baseball cards pretty soon, rare.

That's awesome. I want an E30 M3 boy for my HPI Drift! I got an E46 GTR body for mine although I haven't got around to painting it. I'm running it with the Hachi Roku body at the moment.

Mine is all stock. Except the Yokomo wheels. I painted it pearl white and smoked the headlights, the kidneys are covered with Bare Metal foil for plastic models The paint is chipping off of the front from running it this past summer.

Edit: Since it hasn't been said. Tamiya makes these.

Actually, on a carpet track, you probably would notice a difference in lap times. It's amazing how these cars react to the tiniest of adjustments. They sell everything from tire warmers to tweak stations to dial your car in perfectly to wind tunnel tested bodies that produce the least amount of drag while creating sufficient downforce, and there is a reason why.

Here is the kit for those that are interested:

i must have caught the good sides, it has horrible runs on some parts of it. thats why this will be my "beater" body.
